Sweet Support: $1 M&M Fundraiser for The Shepherd's House
In a heartwarming initiative to give back to our local heroes, MacFood Mart is delighted to announce our week-long M&M candy fundraiser from October 9th through the 13th at our Brookwood MacFood Mart location. All proceeds from our weeklong $1 M&M sales will be donated to The Shepherd’s House, a nonprofit organization that provides invaluable support to veterans throughout our community.
Why M&M’s?
Did you know that M&M’s have a military connection? These iconic candies were originally created for the military, with their candy coating designed to prevent the chocolate from melting in soldiers’ pockets. This historical link makes M&M’s the perfect choice for our fundraiser in support of Shepherd’s House and our local veterans.
Our Partner in Generosity: McConnell’s
Moreover, we’re also thrilled to share that our food service distributor, McConnell’s, has generously donated ten boxes of M&M’s to contribute to this heartwarming cause. Their support exemplifies the community spirit and camaraderie that drives our mission.
More Ways to Get Involved
Our M&M fundraiser is only one part of our broader commitment to supporting our community’s heroes. Join us on Friday, October 13th, for our “Fuel for the Weekend” event. On this special day, customers can save 20 cents per gallon on regular gasoline and enjoy free food while supplies last. In addition, we’re proud to announce that K105, Fort Wayne’s #1 country radio station, will be broadcasting live from our location.
Lastly, as a special treat, Hoosier Lottery will be on-site with their spin-to-win wheel. Customers who spend $5 in lottery tickets will have the chance to spin the wheel for exciting prizes and additional rewards.

MacFood Mart is a proud part of McIntosh Energy. The first MacFood Mart location opened in 1965 on the corner of Coldwater and Union Chapel Road in Fort Wayne Indiana. Since then, the business expanded to include four MacFood Mart and Sunoco gas station locations. McIntosh Energy also provides fuel and other marketing to independent dealer operators with our Sunoco brand.
