Our team members asked, and we listened! 2023 was the first year in which MacFood Mart team members from our corporate office and store locations participated in Special Olympics of Indiana‘s annual Polar Plunge fundraising event.

Special Olympics Indiana is a nonprofit organization that is a part of the global Special Olympics movement, using sport, health, education and leadership programs every day around the world to end discrimination against and empower people with intellectual disabilities.

All fundraising proceeds from this event goes toward support training and competition opportunities for nearly 16,000 Special Olympics athletes throughout the state.

Team members accepted donations online and in-stores to participate in the Polar Plunge event at Metea County Park. MacFood Mart employees raised enough money for five team members to take the plunge.
