Block Party Recap

Macfood Mart, Tim Hortons, and Teds Beerhall joined together on Sept. 28th, 2019 to celebrate our customers for the 3rd year in a row. Each Royville store had exciting giveaways, promotions, and special events to make this event memorable for all who came by.

Macfood Mart had a table filled to the brim with giveaways from vendors, such as t-shirts from Miller Lite, koozies from Sunoco, drawstring bags from Coca-Cola, and even a Coleman cooler from Evian. In the store, Macfood Mart employees prepared nearly 200 hot dogs to give out to those who stopped by- complete with a fountain drink and chips. No one was leaving Mac Mart with an empty stomach!

Speaking of Coleman Coolers, Macfood Mart allowed customers to enter to win this awesome prize. This raffle was ongoing throughout all of the Macfood Mart Customer Appreciation Days. A winner was chosen this past week who attended the Brookwood Customer Appreciation Day. The lucky winner was Phil (see below).

Back to the Block Party…

Outside the store, the fun continued. The Macfood Mart Sunoco gas station dropped their price to fill up by 20 cents. If this didn’t draw the community in, the DJ playing everyone’s favorite throwback songs certainly did. Whip and Chill, the ice cream food truck also joined in on the party to provide delicious treats to customers.

Macfood Mart values not only serving their community, but also prioritizes collaborating with local businesses to empower their own missions. Chill Indiana, a local business whose mission to is change Indiana’s beer laws, gave out their iconic Chill Bags, Parkview Health sold helmets for a discounted price to push their bicycle safety initiative, and Fort Wayne Trails handed out Trail Maps to encourage utilization of local Fort Wayne trails.

Tim Hortons contributed to the party with a table of delicious treats to give out to customers. From Timbits, to Sandwiches and hot coffee – no one was left unsatisfied.
